ITINERARY:

DAY 1: TASHKENT

Arrival Tashkent. Sightseeing in the capital. Overnight at your hotel in Tashkent.

DAY 2: SAMARKAND

After breakfast we check-out at the hotel in Tashkent and depart for Samarkand. Check-in at your hotel in Samarkand. 

We visit the following sites:

Bibi-Khanim mosque with its spectacular blue dome;

Siyab local bazaar – taste the best breads and fruits of Samarkand;

Shakhi Zinda – streets of the mausoleums in Samarkand;

Wine tasting at the Old winery – the oldest winery of Romanovs epoch.

Overnight at your hotel in Samarkand.

DAY 3: SAMARKAND

After breakfast we depart for the rocky town of Urgut where we’ll visit the Urgut bazaar and have lunch with a local family. Overnight at your hotel in Samarkand. 

DAY 4: SAMARKAND

After breakfast we depart for a whole day of sightseeing:

Paper Factory – producing famous Samarkand paper according to the methods brought from China in the 7th century;

Ulugbek Observatory – the first and biggest observatory in the Orient;

Mausoleum of the prophet Daniel – the place where three religions meet: Christianity, Judaism and Islam;

Khodja Akhrar Ensemble – consisting of Khodja Akhrar mosque and Nadir Divan Beghi madrasah.

DAY 5: SAMARKAND – GUIJDUVAN – BUKHARA

After breakfast we check-out at your hotel in Samarkand and depart to Guijduvan – famous for its ceramics.

We visit the pottery of Abdulla where you can create something on your own. Lunch with the family of the master.

We continue to Bukhara (a monastery city) – a place of education and pilgrimage.

After checking in at our hotel in Bukhara we go for a stroll along Lyabi Khauz Place, a former place of Bukhara Emir’s treasurer.

DAY 6:  BUKHARA

After breakfast we visit the following sites:

Lyabi Khauz Place – one of the most renowned places of Bukhara;

Abdul-Azizkhan and Ulugbek Madrassas;

Trading domes;

Poi-Kalyan place – with its Kalyan minaret, the main symbol of Bukhara, serving in former times as a lighthouse for caravanners;

Chor-Minor Madrassah;

Chor-Bakr Necropolis – an asylum of 4 hermits (relatives of the Prophet, Mohammed).

Puppetry Studio – learn more about the history of making puppets.

Overnight at your hotel in Bukhara.

DAY 7: BUKHARA

After breakfast we drive to the city’s surrounding areas to visit Bakhauddin Nakshbandi ensemble – the place of pilgrimage for the believers of Central Asia.

We visit the residence of Emir of Bukhara – Sitorai Mokhi Hosa.

After lunch we continue to the following sites:

Ark Citadel;

Royal Mosque Bolo Khauz;

Ismail Samani mausoleum – the oldest building in the Central Asia, the pearl of the world architecture.

In the evening we visit the famous Uzbek painter, Davlat Toshev, where we’ll be cooking the traditional Uzbek dish, plov, in his home for dinner.

DAY 8: BUKHARA – KHIVA

We depart for Khiva after breakfast (480km) crossing the Kyzyl-Kum desert and Amu Darya river.

En route we stop for a champagne picnic (lunch). Arrival and check-in at your hotel in Khiva.

Dinner at the summer residence of the Khan of Khiva, Toza Bog.

Overnight at your hotel in Khiva.

DAY 9: KHIVA

After breakfast we depart for Itchan Kala – an amazing city in the Kyzilkum desert (red sands) on the bank of the Amu Darya river.

Khiva offers travelers an architectural experience different to those from other Uzbekistan cities with her 52 historical monuments. Overnight at your hotel in Khiva.

DAY 10: KHIVA – AYAZ KALA – TOPRAK KALA – URGUENCH – TASHKENT

After breakfast and a morning of strolling along the narrow streets of Itchan Kala, we depart for visiting the archeological sites, Ayaz Kala and Toprak Kala – two Zoroastrian citadels hidden in heart of red sands.

We cross the second big river of Central Asia – Amu Darya.

Lunch in Yurt and sightseeing. Transfer to the airport of Urguench for an evening flight to Tashkent. Arrival and check-in at your hotel in Tashkent. Dinner and overnight at your hotel in Tashkent.

DAY 11: TASHKENT – DEPARTURE

After breakfast, check-out at your hotel in Tashkent.

Transfer to the airport for your departure.
