The esteemed leadership of Dubai has granted approval for an ambitious AED 128 billion ($35 billion) endeavour to construct a new passenger terminal at the Emirate’s Al Maktoum International Airport. Upon completion, this terminal will render the airport five times larger in size than Dubai’s primary international airport, solidifying its status as the world’s largest.

Al Maktoum International Airport is poised to boast an unparalleled capacity, accommodating up to 260 million passengers annually. In the forthcoming years, all operations currently undertaken at Dubai International Airport will be transferred to this new facility.
